Super Mario Wall
I am aware of the high “nerd factor” associated with hanging 8-bit Super Mario graphics on the wall. But I did it anyway. Thankfully the graphics are re-stickable. It took a few tries to arrange them into a mario-like level.
This set is officially licensed by Nintendo and sold by Blik. I’ve got several leftover items like mushrooms, turtles, and big boy Mario. I’ll have incorporate them into a different level some day. Overall, I’m very happy with out it turned out. Will be picking up some more Blik for my apartment soon.

My wife saw these a few weeks back and instantly loved them. They will most likely be in my sons room within the next few weeks, even though I requested they be in my office.

dude, thats the way to do it.
my engineer friend saw this and instantly thought of an idea where you cut into the dry wall, place a wired-in linear actuator/magnet on the backside, and cover with thin drywall. then you can make the turtle move back and forth :) we started thinking of other ideas you could do to bring it to life, and the conversation started getting out of hand when we were devising a system that recieves input from a NES controller plugged in to move a spring-based X/Y jumbo etch-a-sketch style axii for mario’s movement :)
