Wow. This looks like one of those classic Dick Works + nephew shots, but in such vivid color and with a sharpness unfamiliar to those earlier photos. I find it subtly less interesting though, but I think only because of its chrono-proximity. What will 20 years do to my perception of this picture, despite its lack of physical wear and weathering?

Hey thanks, Bill. It was fun shooting these guys. We had planned an outdoor shoot with the fall colors on the college campus, but the wind was way too strong.
Still 3-year-old Elias: “Dad, I know he’s not real.” He backtracked to something about him not having black gloves, and where was his sleigh…but decided to hedge his bets anyway, and sit on his lap.
