It's that kind of day. Now at Taco Bell, a sign on the door says "no soft tacos, no chalupas, no lettuce, no Baja Blast." Is nothing sacred?
One local couple even GAVE us 1.5 gals of gas to get us to the next town (before Randy came to the rescue). We had to force payment on them.
I was (also) tempted to make a joke about being stranded among the backwoods West Virginians but they've been beyond generous & friendly.
We got hooked up with 18 gal from Randy, our Geico roadside assistance rep. We're back on the road but anxious to top off our reserves ASAP.
Apparently this power outage/gas run is big news. We hadn't heard. People are hysterical, lines at the open gas stations an hour deep.
Grateful for our Airstream, plenty of snacks & just enough fumes to coast into a shaded but closed gas station. Hope power returns soon?
We've run out of gas in Sutton, WV. Much of the state is out of power and fuel is in short supply. Guess we sit & wait for a change of luck.
My beautiful travel gang. We're headed towards Washington D.C. today. http://t.co/Me1cCWwV
